Only $30,000 is needed to complete the house!!  The walls are up, the roof is on, the electrical and plumbing have been installed, and the insulation has been installed.  What remains to be done is installing the dry wall, the flooring, and the interior trim.  We have a committed volunteer, Art Gravely, who is donating and installing the exterior siding.  

This has been a hard winter for Jim and his family.  His wife, Sherry, has endured pneumonia.  His youngest son also became quite ill.  Jim has been diagnosed with pneumonia now and is beginning his recovery.  

There have been some amazing stories about donors.  One couple, who live on SSI benefits, have contributed most of their savings to complete the house.  Another lady, also retired and living in her fixed income, provided $500 this year after providing $1,000 last year.  And one mysterious donor contributed $10,000 anonymously in early February 2011!!

Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse employees contributed some insulation and installed it.  Home Depot Foundation is considering making a major donation to the project.
